Weekend Roundup:
Morning:
-omelettes with feta and spinach (there were multiple omelettes. it was that kind of weekend. plus i got these omega-3 eggs that i was pretty excited about. i am so all about omega-3 fatty acids right now. if any omega-3 fatty acids are reading this right now then let me tell you i think you guys are all right.)
-coffee
Lunch:
-spinach salad w/ ground turkey, otherworldly tomatos, and vinagrette dressing (ok, I bought about 3 lbs of spinach at the store. I'm not sure why. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I have all this spinach.
-lemon garlic chicken breast sandwich w/ a jalapeno mayo that i made that didn't come out as badly as i had feared.
-yogurt w/ oat bran and berries
-carrots and omega-3 peanut butter (they make omega-3 enriched peanut butter. I'm crazy about this stuff.)
Dinner:
-spinach salads w/ ground beef, cucumber, tomato from the garden of our lord him/herself
-pizza w/ broccoli and mushroom
-cheeseburger w/ tomato (not the amazing gift from the heavens kind, but not terrible. was at a bbq.) kind of a depressing weekend though, for various reasons.
-3 beers (1 Corona w/lime, 1 Corona Light w/lime, 1 Sam Adams Summer Ale)
-2 mixed drinks of some kind. they were blue and had cubes of blue frozen jello floating in them.
Monday Morning:
-oatmeal with protein and frozen blueberries
-coffee
-protein bar
Lunch:
-spinach salad w/ tomato, onion, egg, bacon, ground turkey, and honey dijon dressing
-carrots
-green tea
-fish oil
Dinner:
-salmon burger with the last of the unbelievably good tomatos (R.I.P. my darlings) and teriyake sauce
-spinach salad w/ cucumber, white and orange pepper, feta, onion, diced chicken breast, black soybean pasta, (for color. I don't know if you've seen the black soy pasta, but it just looks awesome all thrown on a salad. the black really sets of the white of the feta and pepper and the colors just look ridicuously pretty together. if you're looking to make an impressive looking with a little exotic touch, this is a good way to go. sadly, i had no one to show the salad to. maybe i will get a camera so you can get a sense of how nice this salad looked. i got a little teary before i ate the salad if you want to know the truth, but that could be because i was eating it alone in a basement with my girlfriend away and like some shit weighing on me, but that goes outside the strict confines of this blog's subject matter. sorry.) and diced chicken (marinaded in a sweet pepper sauce).
Today Morning:
-because i ate the same thing i always do, i will make up an alternate breakfast that i have no intention of eating ever. it's opposite day!
-McDonald's sausage/egg/cheese biscuit sandwich (i worked at McDonald's briefly in my early teens and was fascinated by the health consequences of this product. it was like eating a small tub of shortening. and not in a good way.)
-decaf coffee
-a human baby arm

3 Comments:
i hear that's a delicacy in some appalachian communities.
decaf coffee that is.
oddly enough, i was born in appalachia (well, memphis, but eastern tennessee is very appalachia) so i've got that going for me.
your clock has to be off, i mean i really do not comment on blogs before 8am
