-chicken kabob salad w/ lettuce, tomato, cucumber, falafel, tahini sauce, hummus

-chicken and chinese broccoli in some kind of sauce. possibly garlic. chinese broccoli is very hard to eat when you don't have a knife, but I mostly ok from the experience. a little shaken.

Thurs Lunch:
-chicken w/ an absolutely delicious pesto sauce that my friend made. (oddly, i've never really liked pesto, but for some reason i just knew i was going to like this and i did. i think whether i like the tastes of things or not is largely in my head and i can sometimes make myself like something by force of will.)
-fish oil

Thurs Dinner:
-salmon fillet w/olive oil (as if salmon were not oily enough already)
-cheeseburger
-chicken sausage
(today was the day of meat)
-salad w/lettuce, tabbouli
-2 glasses of wine

-delicious zuccini bread my friend made

Fri Morning:
-yogurt w/ oat bran and frozen blueberries
-protien bar
-coffee

-lean ground beef with sesame orange sauce

-turkey and quinoa chili w/green and yellow zuccini
-fish oil

Lame. My eating still stinks. You'd think with all of these vegetables around it would be better. It's hard to change eating habits.

Geez, I missed last Friday, too. I had another fancy dinner on Friday: tapas. So of course there were like 15 different things. I remember eating rabbit, and thinking it was good, which surprised me. Also I drank probably 7 or 8 drinks, including some sangria, which was kind of bitter, actually. Not a good batch. Anyway, lots of delicious fatty food.

This weekend:
-omelettes w/ garlic snakes, broccoli, feta cheese, red and green salsas
-tuna
-apples
-turkey and quinoa chili w/ zuccini
-big salads w/ spinach, cucumber, tomato and hummus
-nachos
-ben and jerry's brownie batter ice cream (small bowl)
-mixed nuts
-trader joe's flax chips
-fish oil

I think I drank nearly every day last week. Let's see if we can replace some of those with vegetables this week.

-iced coffee
-protein bar

-Spinach salad w/ egg, bacon, cerry tomato, onion, and honey dijon mustard

Whoops! Missed a day there. Nothing too exciting though.

Yesterday morning:
-oatmeal w/ protein powder and frozen blueberries
-coffee
-protein bar
(so it shall always be)

Yesterday Lunch:
-chicken salad w/cheese, tomatoes, corn, torilla strips, 4 black beans and a salsa/southwestern type sauce
-fish oil

Yesterday Dinner:
-salmon burger w/2 waffle-cut fries
-3 eggs with salsa and cheese
-4 beers

i bought a whole bunch of apples and got the farm share vegetables yesterday, yet almost no vegetable consumption this week. one thing i have noticed - the farm vegetables do not go bad as quickly as the ones you buy at the store. everyone knows deep down that vegetables from the local farm are better, but this is yet another reason to get locally farmed vegetables, and in my opinion, the best one. they are aso organic, which is good, but i am not all hung up on whether my food is organic or not. if it is, great, if not, the nutritional value the food provides is more important than what kind of crap it was grown in.

i hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend. kind of different eating-wise for me.

Some things I ate this weekend:
-2 (3?) cheeseburgers
-krinkle cut kettle chips (salt and pepper flavor)
-various green salads
-omelettes (cheese, tomato)
-carrots and hummus
-coffee (lots of it)
-several beers and mixed drinks
-swiss chard
-chicken salad (a salad with chicken in it, not chickensalad.)
and, of course:
-fish oil

Today Morning:
-coffee
-oatmeal w/protein powder (i am out of frozen berries right now. i miss them.)
-protein bar

Lunch:
-tuna fish sandwich w/lettuce. pretty lame.
-fish oil

i will try to start eating some more entertaining foods.

juice of 1/2 lime
fill to top with iced tea

-protein bar
this is getting boring, huh? i will try to mix this up a little more.

Lunch:
-slice of pizza
-spinach salad w/low fat ranch dressing
-low fat cottage cheese. i cannot stand cottage cheese but i ate some anyway because it was going to go bad. don't ask me why i bought it in the first place.
